What a lovely pub. If you have dogs book a table. Dogs need to be cat friendly for the garden. The food was very nice, I had Thai crab cakes and the partner had lasagne, all home made and yummy. Did not have room for pudding. I had a pint of Exmoor ale and she had a local cider. Would highly recommend and would love to have spent more time there

Old pubs like this are getting to find. Go and sit by the fire, drink some real ale. Good food and a great atmosphere.

Went there for dinner with the family. Service was 10 out of 10, however food was not the greatest to be honest for the amount of money we spent on it. I had a burger and while the burger itself was amazing and I really enjoyed it, chips were horrible..they tasted like cheap Asda chips not the chips you would expect for the price of the main meal...we also ordered kids pizza &chips which was again cheap quality chips/French fries and those little £0.49 kids pizzas you can buy in the shops...which was disappointing. Dessert was nice but again for the price - rather small. So service and atmosphere 10/10 but rather overpriced, hence 3 stars. Unfortunately, won't be returning..

Truly rural country pub with nice atmosphere. Great choice of meals freshly made on premises with good portions. Plenty of fish or vegetarian options as well as meat dishes. Staff are friendly and happy to help. Would recommend if staying outside of Tiverton.

Definitely the most enjoyable meal we have had in Devon. We ordered the MP burger and the Salmon both delicious and great portion sizes. The service was brilliant despite been a very busy night. The pub itself was traditional and had a great atmosphere with a mixture of friendly locals and tourists. We thoroughly recommend the desserts, chocolate orange torte and lemon cheesecake which came with a selection of accompaniments. The bill was very good considering the high quality of the food and to top off the evening a staff member helped us back out of the busy car park. Booking before hand is definitely recommended. We will certainly return on our next visit to Devon.
