A friend recommended Exeter Engineering to help me resolve a long standing issue with my Rover V8 powering my Marcos Mantula. Their approach was informed, competent and very professional. The solution was convoluted and they put right multiple faults and the engine now runs and idles really well. Billing was detailed and transparent generating a high level of trust in their work. I have been really impressed with this company of young people and plan to return for further work. Services: Electrical, Engine repair, Brakes, Oil change

A 30 year old motorcycle given a new life - thank you! My carbs were refurbished to the extreme! They are literally back to brand new condition (an in line four carburettor system for an old xj900s). I do all my own mechanics but these carbs were beyond my skill level! I can not thank you all enough - I'm thrilled to bits and money well worth spending. Exeter Engineering FABULOUS! Plus, MOT pass with no advisories! Time for an adventure! Thank you again and thank you David - I can not wait to show you the bike running when I visit!

I have just purchased a Mercedes 190SL for six figures. I have had so much trouble the car was unuseable. It ran like a bag of nails The car limped into Exeter Engineering. They certainly know what they are doing; when I collected it in the afternoon it was a totally different animal......a dream, in fact!! Massive thanks to Dave and his team for all they have done. I can't recommend them too highly. Services: Electrical, Engine repair

I've just fitted my Webber carbs after Exeter Engineering cleaned and serviced them. They came back looking fantastic and the Alfa is now running really smoothly. Top job and well worth the cost considering the hours previously I've spent cleaning up old car bits. I would definately recommend them.

Dave , Aaron and their team did a fantastic job on my Triumph Vitesse when the head gasket failed. Talking me through the process and letting me know of other faults found on the car. The result was the car now drives the best it ever has in the seven years I have owned the car. I was very impressed with the knowledge and commitment these guys have. Totally recommended! Exeter Engineering came recommended too me and they did not disappoint, my motorcycle carbs where grubby and dark, David and the team stripped them, vapour blasted them, then replated all the linkages and put them back together with new rebuild kits, they look amazing, thanks for all the hard work guys and great service.

Exeter Engineering Solutions did a great job of sorting the carburettor and engine problems caused by a previous garage on my 1973 MGB GT engine rebuild. David and his team are very knowledgable, have high standards and very helpfully. Invoices are very clear with all the information and the premises are also excellent. Services: Transmission, Body & Trim, Battery

I really cannot fault the resourcefulness, effort and dedication to get the engine of my MGA up and running. Where others would have thrown the towel in and taken the easy route out Exeter Engineering persevered to implement my requested non-standard engine modification. Whether they would undertake it again is a different question (!) but I'm very happy.

Exeter Engineering have done a great job keeping my 1933 Riley Lynx on the road. After they did work on the head a couple of years ago I have been back this year to have the carbs rebuilt; the car now goes better than ever. An excellent service from a reliable, competent team.

I chose Exeter Engineering for restoration of a 1970s Land Rover. I wanted an engineering company to work on my car, to restore, more than bolt-off and bolt-on replacement parts. The vehicle needed a lot more work done to it after digging in to the rot. As a result, the cost of the rebuild is 4 times what I’d originally planned for, but Dave did talk me through the process and advised throughout and each stage, helping to separate essential work from the ‘also worth doing while we can get to it’ and the plain ‘nice to have’. They were also sympathetic to the blows and accommodated and worked within budget limitations, with a sensible and fair approach to labour and costs. Dave and Aaron have done a good job with engine and the rebuild. As you would expect, there have been plenty of gremlins and niggles when the car was put back together after being off the road for many years, but have fairly sorted them without quibble or further cost. Communication and getting things done were good, but they are in-demand guys balancing several builds at one time, so not every stage of the rebuild moved with the ideal momentum. Overall, Exeter Engineering are reliable, with good skills and they are fair, honest and accommodating. I’ll continue to ask them to work on the car for the foreseeable
